I am Dr. Erica Moy, a passionate mathematics educator who has dedicated my career to making math instruction equitable and accessible for learners. I conducted research for my dissertation on equitable mathematics instruction with a focus on students' perspectives of math class, and the connection of their emotions to their math identity. My work highlighted the importance of emotions and look forward to further research in this area.

I have taught mathematics in kindergarten through eighth grade over the last twenty years in the classroom and as an interventionist. These experiences have deepened my conceptual understanding and provided rich collaborative opportunities. I use this knowledge in my role as a coach, when teaching college courses, as an adjunct professor, and when providing professional learning opportunities.
